Roger Bell, the author on holidays in Europe

Roger Bell has published widely on international and transnational history, comparative history, decolonisation and the politics of race in settler societies, especially the United States, Australia and South Africa.  He has published many scholarly papers and journal articles in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan. His work has been recognised in awards from the American Council of Learned Societies and the American Historical Association, participation in the US Department of State Distinguished Visitor Program, and contributions to the Australian-American Fulbright Commission and The Australian Centre for American Studies.  He has also servied as the President of the Australian and New Zealand American Studies Association and Editor of the Australasian Journal of American Studies.  His current research interests centre on the politics of race and transnational history.
